Weekend Adventures

This past weekend was lots of fun. Friday the children had a half day of school. Once they got home, Our neighbor Lisa had asked us to come over for all the kids to play together and she ordered pizza. It was very thoughtful and appreciated. Besides that the kids had a great time playing the kinect on the xbox 360 then outside.

At 3 we got back home to get ready to go out to eat at our absolute favorite Restaurant The High Street Caffe. It is this amazing little Cajun Creole place about 5 mins from the house and the food is to die for good. J & T both had a cup of gumbo previous to there entree. J had Blackened Alligator and T had Cajun Pierogies. Both of them love strange food. Most 5 or 8 year olds would not touch the stuff. Not my kids however. I myself had Cajun seafood Linguine.

Later on that evening Russell and myself watched Paranormal Activity 2 which I loved and thought it was even better than the first.

Saturday morning I woke up at the crack ass of dawn so I could go out with my friend Molly to an outgrown sale. Let me tell you these places are nuts. I was surprised by the line of people there an hour previous to the opening the front door. Once inside it was elbow to elbow madhouse of people rushing around to find the best stuff before it is grabbed by another mother. I am definitely not a person that enjoys chaos in any sense of the word. I like everything in neat, organized, and planned. Probably half the reason why I do Christmas shopping online or months in advance cause I can't stand the holiday rush nightmare. This was something like that but 10 times worse. On the bright side I did get a few super cute outfits for my daughter and one for my son.

That same day during the afternoon I decided I was going to take my kiddos over to Chuck E. Cheese for late lunch. I called Molly to she if she and her daughter would like to meet us over there. So we all headed there at 2 at 2pm. Both of my kids had absolutely no idea we were going there. I just told them we were going to the park. When T seen where we were his face lite up like xmas morning it was too cute. We ordered a pizza and 100 tokens. J won a bunch of free tickets dancing with Chuck E. which was really adorable. Over all the both J & T got enough tickets to get things and the prize area and I hope they had a great day.

Stopped on the way home to get ice cream for them as well.

Sunday was a very relaxing day. The kids did go over to Jimmy Johns for a hot dog that afternoon which they both love.

Over all it was an extremely enjoyable weekend. This upcoming weekend should be very much the same.
